Role – Planning Manager (Independent Agency)

Location – London (Hybrid working model)

Salary – up to £45,000

A boutique media agency in London have entered a period of hyper growth and are currently looking for their next best Planning Account Manager to join the team!

Having won multiple new clients over the last year, they are well known in the industry for punching above their weight and delivering work that is highly regarded within the industry. At this independent, there are many opportunities to be involved with projects outside the day to day of the role; such as pitching for new clients, getting involved in the commercials and looking to continually build out the team underneath!

At this agency, they want everyone to feel like they’re having a real impact on the business, everyone in the team plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the business. This role will be leading a team of juniors across the planning and buying for a range of clients across the full suite of online and offline channels, for both DR and brand campaigns! So naturally, experience in all of the above is necessary to ensure success in this role. Experience managing relationships with senior client stakeholders is also vital, as much of this role will be client facing.

Culture wise, the hiring manger described the business as a place without egos, everyone gets involved and when things don’t go to plan, its a place where they look at how the team could have done things better, never resting everything on an individual. They run weekly training exercises to constantly look about how they can improve, which even the MD goes to!

This is a great role for an experienced manager to take a step up into, or an existing director who wants something slightly different.

Requirements –

  • Multiple years experience agency side in a Planning specialism
  • Strong ability to mange senior client stakeholders and the gravitas to answer questions about the industry confidently
  • Experienced in working on brand and DR campaigns
  • Experience across both online and offline planning
  • Skillset to develop reports, campaign updates and reviews which you can confidently present to internal and external stakeholders
  • Great understanding of the planning process from initial client brief all the way to post campaign analysis and presentation
