We are committed to providing high-quality, fact-based content across various social media platforms to inform, educate, and entertain our audience.
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic individual to join our team as the Head of Channel Management and Editorial Strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the creation, curation, and distribution of factual content across our social media channels. This role requires a creative and analytical thinker with a deep understanding of social media platforms, audience behaviour, and a passion for delivering accurate and compelling information.
Content Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key topics, trends, and areas of interest for content creation.
- Ensure content is diverse, engaging, and adheres to the highest standards of accuracy and credibility.
- Advanced technical and strategic knowledge on creating hero content that will drive audience growth and channel numbers
- Oversee the management and optimization of all social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Analyze channel performance metrics, user engagement, and audience demographics to inform content decisions.
- Implement best practices for each platform to maximize reach and impact.
- Lead a team of content creators, editors, and producers to ensure the production of high-quality, factually accurate content.
- Provide guidance on storytelling, narrative structure, and content formats to enhance engagement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and audience preferences to continuously evolve the editorial strategy.
- A passion and understanding of factual, educational content
- Being ahead of the curve on social media trends and excellent technical knowledge of best practices to drive world-class content creation and audience engagement.
Collaboration and Partnerships:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, design, and data analytics, to integrate content strategies seamlessly across the organization.
- Identify and explore partnership opportunities with influencers, experts, and other content creators to enhance content reach and credibility.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce editorial guidelines and standards to ensure accuracy, fairness, and ethical content creation.
- Monitor content for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in social media content strategy and management, with a focus on factual content.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and emerging trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive content decisions.
- Familiarity with audience trends, and a passion for factual and educational storytelling.
