Programmatic Account Director

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic client partnerships across a portfolio of key accounts, acting as the senior day-to-day contact
- Own programmatic planning and activation strategy, ensuring campaigns are aligned to clear client KPIs and outcomes
- Drive account growth through upsell / expansion opportunities and proactive innovation
- Manage forecasts, budgets and profitability across your client portfolio, ensuring commercial targets are met
- Run weekly/monthly client calls, performance reviews and QBRs with senior stakeholders
- Work closely with trading specialists to ensure campaigns are set up, optimised and delivered to a high standard
- Translate performance data into clear insights, recommendations and testing roadmaps
- Maintain strong operational excellence: reporting standards, documentation, stakeholder communication and internal clarity
- Support wider new business activity where required (case studies, proposals, strategic input)
- Mentor junior account team members and raise standards across client management
Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in programmatic advertising / digital media.
- Strong client-facing programmatic experience, confident leading conversations with senior stakeholders
- Proven track record of managing and growing accounts with clear commercial responsibility
- Solid understanding of the programmatic ecosystem (DSPs, supply, targeting, measurement and optimisation)
- Comfortable bridging strategy and delivery, credible with both clients and trading teams
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in regulated categories (e.g., financial services) is beneficial but not essential
- Experience with resourcing/time tracking (including timesheets) is a plus
