Global Events Lead
About the job
Global Events Lead, GreenOps SaaS Technology
Up to £80,000 | London, Hybrid working | Global travel required.
Five years ago, this team set out with a clear and urgent mission: to bring transparency and accountability to the environmental impact of the digital world. At a time when sustainability conversations were focused elsewhere, they chose to look at the invisible layer, building technology that helps organisations understand and reduce the carbon footprint of their digital activity.
What started as a bold idea has grown into a product now gaining real traction. With increasing adoption across enterprise clients and a market rapidly catching up to the problem they set out to solve, the business is entering a defining new phase. Investment is accelerating, the commercial function is evolving, and the brand is stepping onto a more global stage with intent.
At the centre of that shift is a belief that how you show up matters.
Not through more noise, but through more meaningful experiences.
Now, they are looking for a Global Events Lead to build that experience strategy from the ground up. This is the first dedicated events hire, a true zero to one opportunity. You will define how the brand comes to life in the real world, shaping a global programme that spans intimate roundtables, curated executive dinners, private client experiences, flagship owned events, and high impact industry sponsorships. From curated moments with senior decision makers to larger scale activations that build category presence, every touchpoint will be intentional.
Working closely with sales and leadership, you will design an events strategy that is deeply connected to commercial outcomes. That means identifying the right moments to be in market, aligning activity to target accounts, and creating experiences that open doors, build relationships, and move opportunities forward. This is not about managing an existing calendar, it is about creating one that drives pipeline and positions the business at the centre of its category.
You will own the full lifecycle of each event, from concept and design through to delivery and follow up. Along the way, you will ensure everything is executed to a high standard, budgets are managed with a clear focus on return, and performance is measured against tangible business outcomes. As the function grows, you will build frameworks and processes that allow the programme to scale globally.
Success in this role will be defined by more than attendance or brand visibility. It will be seen in the quality of conversations created, the strength of relationships built, and the direct contribution to revenue.
You will likely come from a B2B SaaS or high growth environment where events have been treated as a true growth channel. You have experience building or scaling programmes, not just executing them, and you bring a strong commercial mindset, understanding how to translate brand experience into pipeline impact. You are organised, proactive, and comfortable managing complexity, but equally energised by the opportunity to create something from scratch.
This role offers the chance to build a global events function within a business that is gaining real momentum. You will have direct exposure to leadership, real influence over go to market strategy, and the autonomy to move quickly and make decisions that shape the next phase of growth.
