The Opportunity
We are partnering with a high-growth, globally scaled adtech platform to appoint a Sales Director in Japan.
This business has massive funding and is taking significant share from TTD and DV 360, as a result of advanced AI technology, client service and world class people!
This business is a multi-channel, AI-powered demand-side platform (DSP), enabling advertisers to plan, execute, and optimise programmatic campaigns across digital channels. Combining machine learning, real-time bidding, and cross-channel orchestration, the company delivers measurable performance outcomes for brands and agencies worldwide.
Having experienced sustained global growth, the business operates across multiple international markets, works with thousands of advertisers, and has built a strong reputation as a leader in the programmatic ecosystem.
This is a pivotal commercial role focused on driving enterprise revenue, building strategic agency partnerships, and establishing market leadership in Japan.
The Role
New Business & Revenue Growth
- Drive enterprise-level revenue across agencies and brands
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing
- Consistently exceed revenue targets in a competitive market
Strategic Account Development
- Build and execute long-term growth strategies for key accounts
- Develop and deepen relationships with major agency groups
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the client base
External Leadership
- Act as a subject matter expert across programmatic and digital media
- Represent the business at client meetings, pitches, and industry events
- Provide strategic insight into the evolving adtech landscape in Japan
Internal & Leadership
- Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations teams
- Share best practice and contribute to the development of the wider commercial team
- Support a high-performance, collaborative sales culture
The Candidate
- 10+ years’ experience in digital media or adtech sales
- Strong programmatic knowledge and understanding of the ecosystem
- Proven track record of delivering against revenue targets
- Experience working with major agencies and enterprise clients
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Commercially driven, strategic, and comfortable operating in a fast-growth environment
