Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven New Business Manager to join our team. As the New Business Manager you will be responsible for driving our agency’s efforts in acquiring new clients and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of digital marketing and social media, performance marketing but also a deep knowledge of commerce experiences and how to build world-class stacks for customers that convert consumers.
You will have a track record of winning new business and running new business pitch processes making it look effortless, smooth, and efficient in terms of delivery thereby having a high level of conversion of opportunities.
Key Responsibilities and Attributes:
- Lead the end-to-end new business pitch process, from initial contact to contract negotiation, and close with poise, structure, and gravitas.
- Hunter mentality – proactive, tenacious, and can operate with high degrees of initiative in being able to engineer brand new opportunities for customers that add value by showing off your expertise and illustrating the value proposition of the Commerce offering the business possesses
- Be an ambassador for the business. Bring professionalism, structure, process, and order to the new business pitches, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and stakeholders.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision makers such as CMOs, and heads of marketing at leading brands, demonstrating world-class influence and gravitas. Be able to talk knowledgeable about the mar-comms landscape ,particularly with a focus on commerce solutions and how this can be a game changer to our prospective clients
- Collaborate internally with our creative, strategy, finance, and account management teams to develop compelling pitch presentations and proposals and ensure RFI and RFPs run smoothly
- Create excellent working relationships with key partners and suppliers to ensure the customer experience is increased and made more valuable
- Be able to speak the language of marketers, being plugged into industry trends, marque examples of creativity, competitor activity, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in new business development within the marketing or advertising industry.
- Proven track record of successfully closing new business deals and exceeding revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, social, SEO and particularly you will be highly credible with your knowledge of Commerce Platforms
- A creative and lateral thinker with deep business acumen and the ability to link opportunities to the need state of clients
- Excellent account management and project management skills in being able to service the requests and requirements of CMOs and Business Leaders at executive level.
- Collaborative, able to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior-level decision-makers.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
