About the role

As part of the company’s continued APAC expansion, they’re seeking a Country Manager to launch and lead the Japanese market.

This is a pivotal leadership role for a well-connected commercial leader with deep programmatic expertise and a strong understanding of Japan’s digital and AdTech ecosystem. You’ll own the go-to-market strategy, drive revenue across agencies and brands, and build a high-performing team from the ground up.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive adoption across agencies, brands, and media owners in Japan
  • Establish a compelling market positioning and value proposition based on local needs
  • Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders across holding companies, agencies, and advertisers
  • Collaborate with product and solutions teams to ensure strong product-market fit
  • Define and track key performance metrics to drive consistent revenue growth
  • Design and deliver the go-to-market plan, including partnerships and pricing models
  • As the business scales, hire and lead a local commercial team to support growth
  • Represent the brand at key industry events, panels, and thought leadership forums

What we’re looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in digital advertising or ad tech, ideally with a DSP, SSP, or programmatic platform
  • Proven track record in solution-based sales and new market development in Japan
  • Strong existing network across agencies, brands, and media owners
  • In-depth knowledge of programmatic trading, data, attribution, and media measurement
  • Demonstrable understanding of DOOH media and technology
  • Experience building teams and scaling operations in Japan
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
