Sales Manager, GroupM – Video Contextual AdTech Platform:
Circa – £35-45K + generous 40% commission.

I’m hiring for a leading provider of video contextual AdTech solutions, experiencing explosive global growth with close to 500 employees across various markets. They empower brands to reach targeted audiences across the Video, Display and Connected TV (CTV) through innovative contextual targeting and creative technology. Their passionate and growing team at the forefront of the industry is seeking a talented and ambitious Sales Manager to join them and help contribute their growth, particularly focusing on strengthening connections within WPP/GroupM agencies in the London region.
They have some great momentum in the market and are working with all the key agency groups helping their advertisers achieve their goals!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve ambitious revenue goals for our video contextual advertising solutions, with a specific focus on building strong connections within WPP/GroupM agencies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within WPP/GroupM agencies, tailoring presentations and proposals to address their specific needs and objectives.
- Build and cultivate long-lasting and strategic relationships with key decision-makers at WPP/GroupM agencies, brands, and direct advertisers.
- Negotiate and close complex deals, exceeding assigned sales quotas and maximizing revenue generation within the WPP/GroupM network.
- Lead a team of Account Executives, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to ensure their success in developing strong relationships with WPP/GroupM agencies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage within the context of WPP/GroupM partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Product, Customer Success) to develop and implement effective sales strategies and ensure seamless campaign execution for clients, particularly within WPP/GroupM agencies.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making, focusing on optimizing engagement within the WPP/GroupM landscape.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and generate new leads, with a focus on establishing connections within WPP/GroupM networks.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a media sales role, preferably within the AdTech, Media Owner or media agency space, with demonstrated success in building and nurturing relationships within WPP/GroupM agencies.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving significant revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape, programmatic advertising, and video advertising.
- In-depth knowledge of the WPP/GroupM agency structure and decision-making processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels.
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute effective sales plans.
- Data-driven approach with the ability to analyse market trends and identify potential clients.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
