Commercial Director
Commercial Director, UK Sales
B2B SaaS and Marketing Technology | Central London | Hybrid, three days in the office | c. £100,000 base plus 2x OTE
For consumer brands, trust has become a commercial advantage.
Customers have more choice, more information and more reasons to question what they see online. The businesses that understand what their customers really think, and know how to turn those insights into better experiences and stronger conversion, have a significant edge.
This established B2B SaaS company has built its business around that opportunity.
Its technology helps thousands of organisations capture authentic customer feedback, understand what is driving sentiment and turn those insights into greater trust, stronger customer experiences and measurable commercial performance.
The platform sits at the intersection of Martech, customer experience and reputation technology, with an established client base spanning major consumer brands across retail, travel, financial services and other high consideration categories.
It is also a profitable, established business.
There is no dependency on the next funding round and no need to prove whether the product has a market. The customer base exists, the technology is proven and there is significant opportunity to take the UK commercial operation to another level.
That is why they are creating a brand new Commercial Director position.
Reporting directly into the C suite, you will bring the UK new business function together under one leader and take ownership of how the team performs, develops and scales.
You will inherit Account Executives, SDRs and existing sales leadership, but this is not a role for someone who simply wants to manage what is already there.
The brief is to raise the bar.
You will set the commercial rhythm, improve pipeline quality, bring greater discipline to forecasting and create a sales environment where people understand exactly what good performance looks like.
You will own the number and the annual commercial plan.
That means understanding the sales engine in detail. Where pipeline comes from. How effectively opportunities convert. Where deals stall. What ACV looks like across segments. How MRR and ARR are moving. Which sellers need support and where the wider process needs to change.
They want someone who can turn those insights into action.
You will coach sellers, develop managers, improve process, recruit where necessary and create greater consistency across the team.
At the same time, you will remain close to customers.
This is a genuine player coach role. Most of your focus will be leadership, but you should still enjoy selling, supporting strategic opportunities and stepping into important client conversations when your involvement can change the outcome.
The ideal person will already have significant SaaS sales leadership experience, ideally within Martech, Adtech, customer experience, affiliate technology or another software category selling into consumer facing businesses.
You will have previously taken a sales team through a meaningful period of change or acceleration and be able to show exactly what happened as a result.
Not just that revenue increased.
What did you change? How did conversion move? Where did pipeline improve? What happened to productivity, ACV or forecast accuracy? Which decisions genuinely changed the performance of the team?
Experience selling into major consumer brands will be particularly valuable, especially across sectors such as retail, travel and adjacent categories.
Just as important will be your leadership style.
They want someone positive, visible and commercially ambitious. Someone who can create energy, develop people and hold a high bar without building a culture around fear or short term pressure.
For the right person, the timing is particularly compelling.
You are joining a proven, profitable software business with an established market position and recognised customers, but stepping into a newly created leadership role with genuine freedom to shape what the next version of the UK sales organisation looks like.
The foundations have already been built.
Your job is to turn them into a more predictable, ambitious and high performing commercial engine.
